Church History

In 1984 Rev. John Sallaz, under the direction of God, led a group of believers from the Norwich area to organize into a church. In November of that same year, Vision Baptist Church was born. Pastor Sallaz led this new congregation during it’s infancy and early years.

Rev. Charles Gately was the second pastor of Vision Baptist Church and ministered to the congregation during the early 90’s.

Rev. John Barta was the church’s third pastor. He faithfully served the people until the spring of 2004.

In June of 2004 the church called it’s current pastor, Rev. Jason A. Terrian.

In the summer of 2006 the church officially voted to change it’s name from Vision Baptist Church to Rose City Baptist Church.

During the past 25 years God has blessed this church in many ways and has allowed it to have a spiritual impact on the communities surrounding Norwich, as well as around the world.
