MANKIND
We believe that mankind was created in the image of God, sinned, and thereby incurred not only physical death, but spiritual death, which is separation from God, and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature.
Terms explained:
Created in the image of God: (Genesis 1:27; 5:1; 1 Corinthians 11:7).
Separation from God: When mankind, of its own free will, chose to disobey God, it sinned (the breaking of God's law). This original sin separated us from God, Who, because of His holiness, could not tolerate sin, and therefore, judged such sin (Romans 6:23, 3:10, 8:7; Galatians 3:22).
